Back at the Division house after a very long and deadly night, Detectives Freddy Blakely and Jerzy Stempowski were dealing with grief and the job ahead. Their sergeant and team leader had left the living, but not their  consciousness.

A murder has shaken the suburban setting of Crawford, Indiana. A decorated Chicago police detective has died in the line of duty. Events are stirring.

First, a little background: my name is Charles Collins. I am a 30+ year veteran radio broadcaster, producer, programmer, performer and writer.   Five years ago, almost to the day, The Radio Murders popped into my head.

What is The Radio Murders? Imagine a world where the most popular syndicated talk radio program is not about politics, life style, space aliens, sex or comedy, but about murder. It is not so far-fetched. Murder entertains us; it is as close as the next moment of rage, jealousy, or the simple solution to all our money woes.

It is no accident that the very first Biblical encounter between man and God involved betrayal that led to history’s very first murder.

We are all a split second away from becoming what we fear the most; so why not do it on the radio?
